KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) yesterday ruled to continue inclusion of Dr Asim Hussain’s name in the ECL. The SHC bench, headed by Justice Junaid Ghaffar, had on May 26 reserved its verdict in the Pakistan Peoples Party’s leader’s plea to remove his name from the ECL. Dr Asim’s lawyer, Barrister Latif Khosa had contended that his name was placed on the ECL without any plausible reason only to deter his client from undergoing medical treatment abroad. He said Dr Asim needs immediate permission to travel to London to undergo a spinal surgery there or else he would lose his life. Dr Asim’s lawyer had submitted in the court the schedule of his planned visit to London for medical treatment.
