Dr Asim case: SHC to hear bail application on 23rd

KARACHI :The hearing of bail application by Dr Asim Hussain and others was adjourned for June 23.  The Sindh High Court division bench headed by Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi observed on Monday that since a date of 23 June was already fixed in other cases related to the applicants therefore, these bail applications would be also heard on that day.
Earlier, the counsel for Dr Asim, Anwar Mansoor Khan invited attention of the court that his client was detained since August 27, 2015 and the bail application moved by his mother Dr Ejaz Fatima is pending since last eleven months.
After the hearing while talking to media Mansoor Khan said the bail application is usually heard within one week time but in this case a long period of eleven month has lapsed but the bail application is amazingly not being heard.
On Monday afternoon the NAB Court IV adjourned the hearing in a case against Dr Asim  till July 04 . Earlier, the NAB prosecutor produced the original documents on behalf of Section Officer, Board of Revenue and the prosecution witness Amaduddin before the court as was previously demanded by Aamir Raza Naqvi, the counsel for Dr Asim. Replying to a question by National Courier Aamir Raza said there  witness would be cross examined for this record on next hearing.
