Dr Asim’s case: Hearing put off till October 15

KARACHI: Hearing in JJVL case against former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain and others was adjourned yesterday as the Presiding Officer of Accountability Court IV was on leave. The matter was deferred till 15 October, 2016.
The last hearing of the case was held on 10 September and talking to media after the proceedings Azhar Siddiq Advocate had said that according to his investigation the NAB officials had recorded the statements of 42 officials but they produced only 25 witness statements before the court while had concealed the statements of 9 witnesses belonging to the SSGC and 8 witnesses from the OGDCL.
Since he wanted to bring this grave violation in the knowledge of honourable court he had requested the court for at least 15 days permission so that he could file the application, hence the date of hearing was fixed as September 27th on his request.
