Another SHC judge declines hearing Dr Asim’s bail plea

JUSTICE ARSHAD REFUSES TO BE PART OF BENCH

KARACHI: The hearing of the bail pleas of political leaders, Dr Asim Hussain, Rauf Siddiqui, Anees Qaimkhani and Qadir Patel once again adjourned yesterday when Justice Arshad Hussain  declined  to sit on the bench.
Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar heading the bench referred the matter to Chief Justice Sindh for further direction or constitution of a new bench, while fixing  October 10 as the next date of hearing.
Earlier on September  21, pusine  judge of Sindh High Court, Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh had also declined to hear the bail pleas. After his refusal, the matter was referred to SHC Chief Justice, who assigned it to the bench headed by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar fixing hearing for . Sept 29.
It may be mentioned here that this is the fifth time when a bench of the SHC refused to hear the bail applications of former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain and others. Earlier, Justice Irfan Saadat, Justice Abdul Rasool Memon, and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi respectively had also refused to hear the same.
