DISTRICT CENTRAL: IRANI CIRCUS BACK IN KARACHI AFTER A DECADE
KARACHI: Senior leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Dr Asim Hussain with a view to encourage healthy activities for public has inaugurated a mesmerising 15-day ‘Summer Family Circus’ at Abdul Khaliq Afghan Football Ground in FB Area Block 19, District Central here. Dr Asim while talking to media persons said, “We are trying our level best to provide maximum entertainment facilities to residents of District Central at inexpensive rates where children and families will get all-out enjoyment as this Family Mela and Irani Circus has revived in district after a long time.” Former Petroleum Minister said, “It is my desire to provide best entertainment and highly developed urban environment facilities to residents of District Central where they could spend their leisure hours in different amusing activities.”

Dr Asim Hussain along with DC Central Taha Saleem also visited various food stalls, swings and merry go round which were setup for children entertainment. He also observed performances of acrobats at Lucky Irani Circus and appreciated them. Young male and female acrobats won hearts of audience with their incredible performances and received praise and cash prize from Dr Asim. Later, Dr. Asim also gave polio vaccine drops to some of children who were present at District Central Rescue Camp.

DC Central Taha Saleem said on special directives of Dr Asim Hussain, District Central administration is further planning to organise similar events like Summer Family Circus with an intent to develop a peaceful, interactive and social atmosphere where families could make most of such events. Taha also said, “Summer Family Circus is an effort to acquaint new generation with famous old means of entertainment.” Festival will continue till June 26, 2022. Besides Circus, there are bunch of other activities like food and shopping stalls, boat swings, tramway, haunted house, jumping beds are also installed for entertainment of children and youngsters. People in large number flocked Abdul Khaliq Afghan Football Ground with their families on inauguration day.
