KARACHI:  Former petroleum minister and leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Dr Asim Hussain yesterday had gone through his surgery and biopsy in a local hospital of London. “He has been advised to remain in hospital till his full recovery,” spokesman of Dr Asim Hussain informed here.

It may be mentioned here that on Nov 16, the apex court had granted Dr Asim permission to travel abroad on the medical grounds and directed the authorities concerned to remove his name from the ECL.

Dr Asim Hussain left for London in the last week of November and before departure at Karachi airport he said; “I am leaving for my treatment abroad and In Sha Allah soon after return I will play active role in the country politics.”
