KARACHI: Former petroleum minister and leader of PPP expressed his grief and shock on the demise of Asma Jahangir and said she was a great, courageous and upright woman, a good lawyer and a nice lady who wanted to see Pakistan respected amongst comity of nations.

She is now no more with us for which I feel sorry. She was a lady who always stood firm at every stage for saving democracy and judiciary. May Allah rest her soul in peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

Dr Asim Hussain also condoled the death of renowned TV artist Qazi Wajid and said it was sad to hear about the demise of Qazi Wajid…a legend, magnificent artist of Pakistan’s entertainment industry….an actor par excellence. May Allah rest his soul in peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss, he prayed.
