KARACHI: Dr Asim, President Pakistan Peoples’ PartyKarachi Division has assured the Pakistani-Bengalis that “they are our brothers and PPP will not tolerate any excesses against them. We will solve all their problems and issues pertaining to their national recognition,” he said. He was talking to PPP leader and Chairman Pakistani Bengalis Action Committee Shaikh Muhammad Feroze who called on him yesterday and briefed about the grievances being faced by Bengalis. He informed Dr Asim that having all the legal documents the NADRA authorities were refusing to issue not only the CNICs but tokens to the persons who are born here and grown with their parents having CNICs. But their off spring were being deprived of the due rights of citizenship. This attitude of government officials was destroying the future of hundreds of thousands Pakistani Bengalis youth and they are being disowned. “These people have sacrificed not only once but twice for the country,” he added.
