Dr Asim Hussain, Chancellor of Ziauddin University has expressed profound grief over the sad demise of over 70 precious human lives in the terrible tragedy of Rahim Yar Khan.

“I hope that Allah Almighty give strength to the families of deceased souls to bear this enormous loss. This heart-wrenching incident will surely be remembered in our hearts,” he lamented.

“I hope the authorities will start working on safety precautions in trains because hundreds of people travel everyday and we cannot afford such kind of irresponsibility from the concerned authorities”, Dr Asim further said.

While appreciating Pakistan Army’s efforts he thanked Pakistan Armed Forces and Army troops including doctors and paramedics for the quick rescue operation and for providing immediate assistance to save lives.
