Ziauddin University holds TED talk program

KARACHI: Ziauddin University organized TED talk program as ‘TEDxZiauddinUniversity’ Conference themed “The Way Forward” at its Clifton campus. Dr Asim Hussain, Chancellor, Ziauddin University inaugurated the conference. while addressing  the audience  he stated that such kind of conferences where we interact with each other we learn how to behave in social society, what the others thinks, what we think and what is the way forward in life.  Our country is entirely in a phase where we think what we should look forward and what we should look up to.

“It is the younger people who have to understand problems, challenges, perceptions and then decide what should be our future. If we can decide on our level it will become a larger level and then obviously it will turn out to be globally”, he emphasized the students.

Other renowned and expert motivational speakers of their fields including   Adeel Husain (TV actor), Zarrar Khuhro (famous journalist), Muneeb Maayr, (Founder of Daraz.pk), Imtisal Abbasi, (Managing Partner of IAL Saatchi & Saatchi), Iffat Zafar (Co-founder and COO of Sehat Kahani), Ayesha Rahman, (Manager of a Youth Engagement Program at the Indus Health Network), Saquib Mehmood  (Founder and CEO of ClimateX) and Suman Valeecha (Marketing and Communication Professional) shared  their remarkable successful stories with the students. Large number of gathering participated Ted Talk event with great enthusiasm.

Through a combination of TED Talks, screenings, powerful talks and motivational speeches by presenters, TEDxZiauddinUniversity, aspire to spark profound conversations and links with students at a local level.  Its aim is to nurture ethical and intellectual inquisitiveness, through an innovative approach in imparting knowledge, skills and social awareness among the students. It’s an educational initiative with a wish or idea to bring change in the students and motivating them to present their remarkable projects and activities to the world.
