KARACHI: Dr Asim’s friends and well-wishers, doctors, nurses and other staff members of Ziauddin Hospitals in Clifton and North Nazimabad gathered in large numbers yesterday and recited Ayat-e-Karima for speedy health recovery of former petroleum minister and President PPP Karachi Division Dr Asim Hussain. The gatherings were held between Zuhr and Asr prayers. Dr Asim Hussain has been admitted at Harley Street Clinic, London for his spine operation. His family members had requested the friends and well-wishers to pray for the speedy and early recovery of Dr Asim’s from illness. The doctors had recommended ‘artificial spinal disc replacement’ to Dr Asim Hussain since he had been suffering from back ailment. The medical reports recommended for his disc replacement surgery in London as the treatment of such an ailment was not possible in Pakistan.
