KARACHI: Dr Aijaz Fatima, mother of Doctor Asim Hussain has welcomed the decision by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for holding an enquiry into Dr Asim’s video leaks case. She hoped that enquiry committee would be headed by an honest officer and would work on war footing basis with a view to get the justice done at its earliest. She also appealed to the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to direct the Rangers and NAB officers to cooperate with the enquiry committee. Dr Aijaz Fatima also said that her son shall also be called by the committee to record his statement. It is worth mentioning here that Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Monday ordered an inquiry to unearth that how and by whom Dr Asim’s videos were leaked.  Holding Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan responsible for the leaks, Qaim said that Nisar has not fulfilled his responsibility with regard to Dr Asim’s video leak.  “I have taken notice regarding the matter of Dr Asim’s video leak and have ordered an independent probe into the matter,” he said.  Qaim said that two to three agencies were figuring out how the video managed to surface in media.  Dr Aijaz Fatima also hoped that enquiry committee would also take notice of the torture and human rights violations during the period her son remained in the custody of the Rangers and NAB officials.
