Karachi: Pakistan Peoples’ Party leader and former Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain in his May Day message has said that he wished everyone who is working for welfare of state and well-being for society and home a happy and profitable May Day with their loved ones.

A single machine can perform tasks of fifty ordinary individuals. No computer can do labour of a single exceptional individual.

Dr Asim said that workers are a nation’s invisible backbone, as it is only because of them that nation can stand strong. He advised everyone to express gratitude and respect to all workers. Workers deserve to be well-treated not just today, but every day of year, he opined. He said that PPP has always been working for welfare of labourers and in party’s manifesto workers and their lawful rights are greatly emphasised. Dr Asim advised private sector industries to remain handy to resolve socio-economic and job-related issues of their working class as workers need of our prime attention to cater their obligation in better way.

PPP leader on his official social media handle wrote “I pay rich tribute to the martyrs of Chicago and their struggle against oppression and tyranny. Let’s honour the labourers of Pakistan for their hardwork in building this country. Hard work like your’s should always be praised.”
