KARACHI: Dr. Asim Hussain, President, Karachi Division, Pakistan People’s Party has condemned the discontinuation of supply of 400 million gallons water to Karachi on account of maintenance work ordered by the National Transmission and Despatch Company. Frequent repair works disrupts the supply of water in the already water-insecure Karachi city. Dr Asim further said that the people of Karachi are already suffering due to water shortages, operation of illegal water hydrants and the tanker mafia add to the people’s misery. Dr. Asim has asked the Managing Director of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board Hashim Raza Zaidi, to ensure unhindered supply of water after NTDC completes the repair work. He also demanded that the MD KW&SB immediately resolves the city’s water crisis.
