Karachi: Former petroleum minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader Dr Asim Hussain has been allowed by Accountability court No. IV to travel abroad for medical treatment for the next 15 days.
He has been directed by the court to submit fresh surety bond worth six million rupees.
Surety bond of Rs. 6 million had been submitted by Dr Asim when he was travelling abroad in September 2017 first time after the permission of the Supreme Court.
Dr Asim had requested the court to allow him to go abroad for his follow-up medical treatment and grant exemption from appearance between January 20 and February 20, court granted him 15 days’ time exemption.
On December 28, the interior ministry had issued a notification removing Dr Asim’s name from the ECL.
Dr Asim had travelled abroad for his follow-up medical treatment in the end of year 2017, and had returned in time given by the court.
