KARACHI: Thousands across the country yesterday celebrated the birth of one of Pakistan’s greatest politician and former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto. Social media remained abuzz with praise and well wishes as the nation commemorated the vibrant leader’s 64th birth anniversary. Leaders continued to arrive in Garhi Khuda Bux to observe ninth death anniversary of PPP’s former Chairman Benazir Bhutto, while CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that Bilawal can compete election from anywhere in Pakistan. The ceremonies at Garhi Khuda Bux began early Wednesday with recitation of the holy Quran. A large number people, including jiyalas from across the country, arrived at the Bhuttos’ mausoleum. Dr Asim Hussain, President Karachi Division and Dy Speaker Shehla Raza attended the cake cutting ceremony at Peoples’ Secretariat Karachi and addressed the party workers to get prepared for the next general elections.
