NAB officials dodging the courts?

With reference to news item appeared on August 29, about JJVL case and former petroleum minister Dr Asim it is very strange to know that the NAB officials still failed to produce necessary record of the JJVL reference before the accountability court as stated by the defence counsel for accused Iqbal Z. Ahmed.He informed the court that they have received some important documents from the OGDCL which were not provided by the NAB officials nor placed on court record of the said reference. His stance is more amazing that these documents are enough to prove the innocence of the accused. That was the reason for case IO to not to produce these documents before the court instead and he concealed the facts, the defence counsel added. It’s a pity that the institutions like NAB are distorting their image through such dirty tricks and dodging the courts. Arif Siddiqui, Karachi
