KARACHI: The prosecutor for Pakistan Rangers, complainant in the case against Dr Asim Hussain, requested the Anti-Terrorism Court that they may be allowed to produce the original/certified copies of the case documents. The court allowed the request and fixed Dec 03 as the next date of hearing. Dr Asim Hussain, former petroleum minister, MQM lawmaker Rauf Siddiqui, Waseem Akhtar, Qadir Patel, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) president Anis Qaimkhani and Usman Moazzam of Pasban-e-Pakistan were indicted in a terror facilitation case, following which the judge summoned witnesses to appear in court against the suspects. During yesterday’s hearing in case FIR No.197 of 2015 the prosecution counsel filed an application u/s 540 Cr. Pc for production of certified copies. He stated that the complainant during investigation of the case presented Photostat copies of JIT report spreading over 13 pages, 330 FIRs against terrorists and proclaimed offenders, 27 medical bills of Dr Ziauddin Hospital and some index forms attached with FIRs. Inspector Rao Zulfiqar Ali first Investigating Officer took these documents into possession vide recovery memo prepared in the presence of complainant and SI (Rangers) Qamar Zaman. Rao Zulfiqar Ali SIO made the sealed parcel of above said documents in the presence of complainant along with SI (Rangers) Qamar Zaman who also signed on the said parcel and recovery memo on 28 November 2015. The court allowing the application, adjourned the hearing till December 3.
