KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party, Karachi Division, President, Dr Asim Hussain is all set to leave for London via Dubai through Emirates flight EK-601 at 12:15 today (Sunday) for his medical treatment under the permission of Supreme Court. When in London, he will not only inquire about the health of his wife, who is hospitalized there, but also about the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who had successfully underwent second surgery related to her throat cancer treatment yesterday in the same hospital. Yesterday, Dr Asim and other co-accused attended the accountability Court IV in NAB reference No.19/2016 where the applications filed by Iqbal Z. Ahmed and Zuhair Siddiqui were considered by the court. Their defence lawyers’ arguments were continued when hearing was adjourned for 16th September. Earlier, when Dr Asim Hussain left his home in North Nazimabad on way to attend the court he faced a serious road blockade by residents of Mosa Colony, who were protesting against the sewage water accumulated in entire locality. Dr Asim held talks with the residents to know their grievances and detail of the problems, he urgently called the Deputy Commissioner Central and instructed him to resolve the issue. His action pacified protesters and the traffic blockade was lifted, but Dr Asim’s was late to the court by two hours.
