In inaugural year, ZU examination board conducts intermediate exams

KARACHI: Ziauddin University (ZU) examination board on Thursday began conducting the intermediate examinations within its premises across the city.

ZU Examination Board, the latest among the already established boards prevailing in the country, already held the matric examination in inaugural year.

During a visit to the examination centers on the second day of the examination, Board Executive Director Professor Anwar Ahmed Zai told media that 13 locations have been arranged for conducting the annual examinations— of which 52 halls have been turned into examination centers for the purpose.

According to details, each examination center can accommodate 50 candidates— providing students with air-conditioned facility and CCTV monitoring during the exam.

Students of Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Commerce (Regular & Private), Arts (Regular & Private) and General Science group are participating in the examination being held under the ZU board.
The Intermediate examination began on June 27 and will end on July 7.

Prof. Zai assured that the checking of the papers will initiate at the earliest possible, adding that results will be announced in August.

The Board’s executive director said no expenditures were facilitated by the government and the ZU board is conducting the examination at its own expense.
